At first glance it is quick and easy to design eye catching graphics. I like it, and I think it might be helpful for making simple but fancy web graphics, compared to buying and learning professional vector graphics software to do that sort of thing.
It has a number of shortcomings, but the pros outweigh the cons.
It comes with a slate of fonts that are nice for making logos and text graphics.
One problem is it has a limited range of zoom and effect size relative to how big the canvas is and how big the screen is. Like maximum shadow distance and size is just too small on large graphics.
The interface is a little too simple to qualify as professional design software. It only has one line one font one size text objects with no adjustable letter spacing. It apparently has text on path capability, but otherwise not very advanced in the typography department.
The effects and lighting model is strictly very basic, no light color, surface parameters, reflections, inner shadows, perspective or warp distortions, shiny metallic textures or really cool stuff like that.
The gradient color editor is downright clunky and cumbersome.
So it has a long way to go to qualify as serious professional grade design software.
But it gets the job done and is capable of making fairly impressive graphics for the price and simplicity.
